Am I supposed to cover anything and everything that has started coming up?? I have daylily, coreopsis, cinquefoil, dianthus, astilbe, a fern, and something else I can't remember the name of..

I covered everything up pretty much that's coming up...we are getting a frost here tonight as well....it was actually raining a bit ago with a few flakes of snow mixed in! shock

I keep old sheets in the basement, and all the cheap plastic pots that my bigger plants come in(they come in handy for covering stuff during times like these).

The way I see it I'd rather be safe than sorry.....

Some of it might be okay----is it all just out in the open or is any of it under anything or up against a wall?

This summer maybe you can go to a yard sale or the goodwill and pick up some old sheets that you could keep just for this purpose. thumbup

Mom has new annuals out and her and dad use disposable plastic cups to cover them with when they are small like they are.

Most of mine would probably be okay to tell you the truth, I just hate to take a chance on it when I just bought most of the plants I covered.

All of mine are perennials.. and I didn't cover them last night and they seem to be ok. It is way too early here to do annual.. even though I am itching to get planting. lol

Thanks for the tips!
