Any of you ever use these in your pond????? We got some at Lowes yesterday and I threw one in....they scare me a bit though.

Do not come in skin contact with them, has an ingredient known to cause cancer in the state of California.....

I'd forgot I'd bought some at Walmart a few weeks ago for the aquarium, and on them it says not to use if you have snails because it would kill them.

The ones I bought at Lowes didn't say anything about killing the snails though.

Just wondering if you all use these, if they really help, etc?

loz, all that stuff can be scary, just be careful and read, read, read! the tablets are not safe for pond plants, so i have never used them. i DO use the liquid algaefix stuff. i just ordered some from foster/smith catalog, the brand is pondcare. i got the 64oz. size. 1 teaspoon for every 50 gallons-every 3 days until clear, then once a week FOREVER in warm weather! it does great as long as you keep the water moving with a good pump. i love the stuff!
