Can one lavender be split into two pieces and replanted like some other plants?

The sunshine is calling me, the dirt says come and play, the little seeds yawn for a nap, the weeds yell go away!

Yup, but it's best to divide them in fall if you try...I've lost a few when dividing in spring.

Mind you if your lavender is older and kind of shrubby looking...you take a chance of killing it.
