Hello,

I need help finding out what I can do to prevent my plant from losing all it's leaves. I bought a rubber tree from a grocery store around January. I noticed new growth taking place and noticed a few leaves turning yellow. I re-potted and now the leaves are falling fast.

Usually yellow leaves are from over watering...re-potting it might have stressed it even more. Just leave it dry out between waterings and let it rest a bit. Do not fertilize it.

Hi Tamara,

I did just what you said, I let it rest since you last spoke to me. The last of the leaves that turned yellow has dropped. I did let the soil dry out and watered it this week just once. I left the water drain as I have been reading through the forums, I was surprised to find these very tiny bugs (mealy bugs) in great number running around the dirt along with what looked like gnats or fruit fly's. I never noticed or took the time to look before till I brought the plant in light.I researched and found that pepper can be used I also put moth balls in with the dirt. I did not have anything else so I had to something. Any suggestion in case they come back

You can also use rubbing alcohol on a q-tip to rub off the bugs.....
