Just had a male red-winged blackbird at my feeder on the deck. I have seen them a few times in fields, but never here in my yard - exciting. We used to see them all the time when we lived in Reno.
I tried to take a picture but when I opened the window he flew away. I am keeping the camera nearby in hopes he returns.

He came back all that day, but I wasn't able to get a picture. He hasn't been back in all this rain we've been having but the rest of the week is supposed to be sunny and warmer so I will see if he returns.
Dodge - I also take pictures through the window, but the feeder isn't that far from my sliding doors and the birds get scared easily.
