Happy boring Saturday night you mean....

Remember when you couldn't wait for the week end to come...now I despise it. It seems to take forever for it to pass.

well I remember being thin & "dieting" all week so as to look even "better" at the dance on friday night. Oh how I would love to be that weight again.....

Well, I figure that is a given for me...how are you feeling today????
& are you wel enough do the chores that Carey would be doing??

I am doing everything now Carol...he did go water the horses though. Pearl won't leave me near her.

As far as chores go, I do them all here anyway.

I forgot to add, I am feeling better...brb..company.

Not such a happy Saturday here. Had to get up early to take Joey to his basketball game, which was about a 30 minute drive across the water and over a bridge I hate driving on. So, that right there stressed me out. Fortunately, Joey and his team played a very exciting game and won. It was his last game of the season so it was a really great ending. Then we get into my car to come home, I turn the key, and nothing. We tried to pop the clutch but couldn't get the car going fast enough in the parking lot. So, I called AAA to find out how much it would cost to sign up and get a truck out. It was cheap enough that we could afford it but barely. I think Aros and I have about $20 left between the two of us until Wednesday. Thankfully the shopping is all done and I don't need my car until I can buy a new battery. AAA was able to jump my car so that at least I could drive it home instead of having to tow it or leave it parked so far away. The girls were supposed to have their game too but we didn't make it which worked out because not enough people showed up and their game was forfeited anyway. What a week. Aros was saying our whole family deserves something from what we've been through in the last week. I am happy that Joey got to play in his game. He hadn't made any points yet this year and hasn't been able to get to all of the games and he made two baskets! Anyway, tomorrow will be better, tomorrow will be better!

Cheryl so sorry that all had to happen, but so glad that Joey ended up making some baskets--I am sure he is one happy guy right now.

Very happy. Apparently he didn't get enough though because he just left with his basketball to go to the park. Wish I could take some of that energy.

We just finished watching On the Beach... such a sad movie... end of the world... they made this movie in 1959...

I finally got over the stomach bug or whatever it was I had-- passed my preop physical for my surgeries too... managed to lose 2 more lbs ... think it would have been more then that couldn't eat for days...LOL! Boys had it too- Derek and Timba... Timothy was worse-- he missed all week at school- and of course they are Csap testing .. but they said they do give it again for those that missed-...

Well I need to go boil up some taters for mashed to go with our chicken... eating is a lot easier when you know if it's not chicken it will be fish..LOL!

I guess everyone either went off to dinner or bed. I'll probably end up in bed early tonight, I'm beat after a busy day. First I want to make some popcorn and have some hot chocolate, perhaps preceded by a nice hot bath and a good book.

Any of those would put me to sleep, Cheryl. I am drinking a coke. I get to sleep to rain on the roof and nice warming fires in the stoves. I will be going to bed soon myself.

You have unusually moist this year and we have been unusually warm. I never get tired of listening to the sound of rain though. Have a good night!

Yes unusually wet here. And unusually mild for you and Tamara and for most northern climes. But records are being broken for snow in the south and midwest. Weird.

Yup Tina there has never been a winter this mild on record here that they know of....just wait what we'll get next year I'll be snow stuck again for days at a time.

The sun is shining bright and it's supposed to warm up above the freezing point today..the air smells so fresh out there.

I so need to wash mine, inside and out. I am so lazy.

You're not lazy...just too busy with other things

Sometimes I am lazy. I spend too much time in front of my computer when I should be up and busy. My windows have not been cleaned for years, Tamara.
Today I got a lot done and more is going to be done. But I hired help to do it. The economy sucks and people are out of work. But I am trying to do my part in helping a couple of kids who haven't been able to find work. And I can get a lot of my little piddly stuff done as well. I may set them to washing the exterior of my windows next time.

cleaNING windows is overrated. I cleaned mine back in the day--took me and my MIL all day (more than 8 hours) and in 2 weeks no one k new.

now that I have the tilt-in kind, I just clean one when I think it needs it---not "all the windows in the cleaning" any more---I get too upset when they get dirty real quick.

I am home now but I have company so I will go and be back later--see ya'all then.

My windows tilt also, but just the bottoms...I clean my windows every two weeks, even in winter. I know I'm but I can't stand them all filmy. DH isn't impressed, in winter I use up all his expensive 'Teflon windshield' washer for the truck

Hi everyone! I only wash the insides of windows when I want holiday decals to stick to them. I can't reach the outside and just don't care. Lazy day for us today. Not as nice out as yesterday but not too bad either, a bit windy. I'm working hard on painting my nails right now, Joey is playing xbox, Mandy is reading and Ashley's in her room probably chatting with her friends. I'm making steak for dinner tonight, the kids always look forward to that.

I got a ton of material removed from my place today. I waved good bye to a lot of scrap metal that I will never use and couldn't find a local home for amongst my friends. And things like canvas jeep doors from the 1950's. A bunch of things I will never use and have no plans on joining ebay or Craig's List or anything to get rid of. So I am feeling pretty good. And when that area is cleaned up a little more I will feel even better.
