Thanks guys.  about when I will get to see her. her momma had said that she might get to come home next monday. I will wait awhile so I am thinking I will see her in a week or so.. her name is Elise. she weighes 7lb 10 oz and is 19-1/2 inches long.

It will be very nice for you to visit after the initial hubbub has died down a bit. Particularly if you can take her a casserole or a little something like that. I just remember being so exhausted the first few months after having Maxi and living 500 miles away from nearest family meant there wasn't anybody to just stop in and hold the baby. I'm sure she'll appreciate your visit greatly, particularly since there is an older child.

yep you are right, Merme. but thanks for reminding me.
and that made m e remember valarie when emily was born. My cousin came & she brought valarie a gift instead of the baby. At the time I really did not 'get' it. But she had been 10 when her brother was born & had been ver jealous. so she didnt want val to think that she was forgotten. (Val was 6 when her sister was born)
My niece & her baby got home on Tuesday I think it was. I will wait until next week one day & go to see her.

Carol - I ALWAYS bring the sibling a gift as well as the baby. Being the older sister, I know how one can feel left out at the birth of a new baby, and the gifts are always well received.
Can't wait to hear about your visit with your new great niece!
