That's not a thing. That's my wife!

No, actually that's a female Downy Woodpecker. They are little sweeties and are nice to have in your yard. They like suet a lot, and BABY Downy's will ALMOST let you pick them up they are so tame. Nice Shot. NICE bird to have in your yard.

ok then, it is a female downy woodpecker that is partaking of my suet feeder.

I wonder where her mate is. For years, but not this one, I have often seen 1 or 2 male Downy Woodpeckers in my yard. They always liked my hummingbird feeder.--that is the time of year I usually saw them.

Sheri, waht I did was I used the hook that usually has my Hummingbird feeders on them. I trade off winter suet, summer, Hummingbird feeders.

Thorn grabs his Bishop's Shepherd's Hook, lifts his middle finger and blesses all the gardeners saying, "Peace on you. Peace on ALL of you!"

I hoope it all goes well for your Hubby out doors.

I have no idea why some people go out--I guess osme have to (jobs) but some jsut willnot be kept in. and of those most do not know you need to drive differently in snow---they just think well I'll hurry & be thru it.--not so much a good idea ya know ????
