Norton wont update on here , and leaves it open to virus. so I removed that Put on Microsoft Security Essentials Same thing happened . It wont update.. Runs n runs an quits an tells me I need to update.LOL took that off. Now running avg Would you have any idea why? PS. a faster net called tonite, I might change wheels. I have Vista and Norton. My firewalls are up and all is well. I get updates all the time.--- BUT that is not saying that "certain" things have not been turned off. My computer savvy SIL & my DD fixed up this computer for me. I am a dunce when it comes to such as that. _________________________ ........................... I am thinking Mog is correct . Your not on dial up ......... This is a brand new computer and Windows 7 with dial up Windows 7 isnt made for the the dial up ..Has no modem. I had to buy an install a modem on my own.. I am computer savvy also , but do get set backs. I have a nephew if needed. He doesnt know the answer.LOL Didnt know windows 7 had no modem. b _________________________ PS... My horse isn't here, this is my Nitemare..

When I have time I will try MSE again an shut off the firewall an see what happens. thanks for asking. WIndows 7 doesnt have Outlook express for the mail and I miss it bad. Not compatible with 7.
