More pics from King's Park. (See below first!) ![[Linked Image]](http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo113/uncanny_s_man/KingsPark13.jpg) More wildflowers ![[Linked Image]](http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo113/uncanny_s_man/KingsPark4.jpg) How royal can you get? The Queen planted this tree 55 years ago. ![[Linked Image]](http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo113/uncanny_s_man/KingsPark5.jpg) It has grown quite big in that time.

Thanks Angelblossom and JunieGirl! King's Park is beautiful at this time of year, when wildflowers are there. Those red ones are called 'Kangaroo Paw', and they come in all different colours, including yellow/black, pink, yellow, red/green and probably others. That tree is taller than it looks, as I am over 6ft tall, and was pointing the camera up. Should have got down on the ground to take the photo, but there you go- i'm more of a gardener than a photographer! King's Park also has something we don't see much of in Melbourne (now Australia's driest capital city)- acres of beautiful grass, without a single weed in it! I didn't set up the pics right; should have replied to first one instead of making a new topic!

![[Linked Image]](//www.agardenersforum.com/images/graphics/buttons/merme.gif) ![[Linked Image]](//www.agardenersforum.com/images/graphics/buttons/gardenhelper.jpg) We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.

Thanks, Merme. My parents love the wildflowers in Western Australia, but my mother's health doesn't permit a lot of travelling to see them.
Over here in Victoria, we already have summer conditions, with no rain for about 6 weeks, and temperatures over 30 degrees C for the past week or so.
