They said that it's too early to remove the stitches and that I need another week (so we're looking at next Tuesday at the earliest)... I hate stitches...

The vicoden that they perscribed me wasn't really doing its job, so they gave me something stronger which seems to be working just fine (and making me completely out of it in the process lol).

I managed to sneak some photos while the nurse was talking with the doctor for my nurse friends who wanted to see lol...

Stronger than vicoden, HUH?? I think I know what that is.. They had me on that with the last surgery I had back in aug of '08. It knocks the pain but my pulse was 116 and while I thought I knew what was going on--the whole week I was in the Hospital is now a blur--so please be carefuil around the house--and such OK???

Are you thinking Oxycodone? If so, Oxycodone with APAP is a generic form of Percocets...

And yeh Cindy, I hope they give you something for pain management dear; it's crazy what they haven't done to help you out there...

Oxycontin is what I was given. But when I was sent home the home health nurse took my vitals & said it was not healthy for my pulse to be so high (116) & so she called my surgeon Dr and then asked me what I would prefer to be on?// (like I would know) But/so since I had been on Hydrocodone (Vocodin) for the other surgeries I said that worked ok--so the Dr prescribed that for me.

apparently Vicodin is hydrocodone with Acetaminophen...who knew?????

I found this on the internet.....
.....about the prescription medication Percocet (Oxycodone and Acetaminophen).....

so am I to deduce that percocet is Oxy combined with tylenol ???

yoohooo Nurse Sheri------is Oxycontin & oxycodone the same thing???

So, I got stitches out of my right foot today; the left foot is still pretty infected so they want to hold off on that for a while.

It's a relief to be able to walk normal on my right foot though!

It burnt like hell when they where pulling the stitches, and hurt in some areas as the stitch was tight.

Had to cahnge the bandage, had myself freaked out i had blood all over lol
