I am just starting to harvest my garlic but I am not sure how to dry then store it. I pulled a few yesterday and today I washed the dirt off and trimmed the roots....what now? Where can I store them? Do I dry them in the sun or inside in the dark? How do I tell if they are actually ready to be stored? Some of them are very small and have growths on the the stem that look like mini cloves. I am not sure what variety I used but almost all of them have some purple on it. I will try to take some pics of the growths and upload them. Thank you!

Welcome, Evaya.

I wouldn't actually wash them unless there was no other way to get rid of mud.
