Oh man Did I happen upon a great marinade! clap

I was looking for something at the store to marinade some shrimp in thinking along the lines of an Asian spicy flavor but didn't find anything that sounded good to me,, then I spotted Lowry's marinades. and found this one[Linked Image]

Lowry's Caribbean Jerk

blend of molasses, lime juice, papaya, chili pepper and cilantro, and multiple spices
I took a chance and bought it, got home and tasted it,, It's a bit spicy .. BUT<, to cut back a bit on the spice but still have the full flavor of all the other spices,,,

I put about 20 de-veined medium sized shrimp in a bowl,, sprinkled lightly with olive oil,, and poured about 1/8th cup of the marinade over it,, squeezed a fresh lemon over all and place an air tight lid on and shook it up ,,, let it sit for about 2 hours and placed on the the grill,,
If you want a taste of the caribbean with out too much spice this is an excellent way to do Shrimp! They were very good Not too spicey ,
I imagine you can even put them in the oven for a few minutes until done and it would taste just as good,

I will try this on chicken and Porkchops next,,
Don't ya love it when you discover something and take a chance on it and it's great??
have any of you tried any of the other Lowery marinades?? Or recommend any other brand?

I'll have to try it when I eat at your house Diane. Johnny won't eat anything with a kick. I'll post more about that in the what's for dinner section.

But it sounds yummy to me.

I have had some the Lowry's marinades but not this one. I will try it!

One of my favorite marinades is Famous Dave's Chicken Marinade. I love it!
