$8 a gallon?!! OMG!! We have United Dairy Farmers stores around here that have cheap milk so all of the other stores stay cheap to compete with them. It's about $2.50 to $3 a gallon here. I remember before we moved from London last summer it was well over $4 a gallon there. Thank goodness for UDF.

Perennials are cheap here

Ice-cream is $5 for a 2 litre jug. It's very expensive to live where we are. Very hard on the budget.

I know the family from my years of living in Cincinnati. They are also famous for their generosity in charity work. And you are right: LOTS of people say "thank God" for them.

Bali ~ I HATE ice cream and very very rarely eat other sweets. So why am I so darn rolly polly?

I always wanted to be tall and willowy, really I did.

Now that I'm 51 1/2 years old, it may be time to give up on the tall part since I'm only 5 ft 4 with nary a growth spurt in sight. And at this weight, I'm not even close to "willowy".

Merme *thinking svelte would be nice*

Bali, my friend! I have the same bad habit! We musta learned it at the same table. Now, if we could just impart it to Afgrey, we could fill 'er out a bit also!!!

Oh, what a plan.

Not gonna happen, unless you are serving 'Ensure'. I'm liking that stuff pretty good now. At $12.99 a six-pack at the local grocery store (we only have one store) it's an expensive snack though. But it has been putting the weight back on me...that and Bubba's steaks. I was so pleased when the doctor told me I was NOT iron deficient...and I told him the steaks and prime rib I got at Bubba's was probably responsible for that...I order mine rare.

I like mine very rare...blood all over the plate.
It seems more 'natural' for me...if I am going to eat another animal (which I didn't do for 13 years)...I'm going to eat it while it is still half alive.

I respect your outlook, Cindy---diffferences are what make the world go around.

My youngest DD is very selective in what she eats--esp. in the way of 'meat'.

mainly chicken & fish.

That's all I ate for 13 years in the 80s and 90's......and i was much healthier then.
(I was much younger then too....might have had something to do with it.....)
