remember last year when I posted about my neighbors (you know the ones) that were buring all the time and sometimes the smoke was so thick we couldn't breath even in the house. You guys suggested I get a picture.
As it turns out I was told by Frank at the EPA that others have complained about this and these people have received at least 1 letter and 1 visit. Now they will be fined.
YUCK....my neighbor burns a lot of stuff a lot over from us...and that's not so bad....but they have a big garage right below us and he burns stuff there in the driveway sometimes....lots of plastic in there...THAT is the stuff that kills me when the wind is blowing towards my house....
Those neighbors don't compare to MY neighbors. They race cars and sometimes fix the cars and I can smell the smoke;it smells horrible! They also do drugs once in a while and the police come and arrest someone for doing drugs. They also bust one of the windows of my dad's car I think.Glad Bestofour fixed the smoke problem.
there were some bad people out in our old neighborhood (shot our lab for eating the catfood they threw all over the driveway for their 20+ cats) and they could have cheerfully qualified for the dumbest criminals in the world. they decided when they would cook their drugs up, they would mask the smell by burning something outside, in the driveway, and throw a bicycle tire in just to make sure. the VFD came, banged on the door, smelled the drugs, called the sheriff and hauled their sorry behinds to jail/court/prison! YAY. one main reason we moved into town, there was no chance our property value was going up when those folks started moving in there.
House on the corner of our street just got robbed a few days ago....By who you might ask? 3 people that live on this street. Rental people. I hate rentals, you never know who you'll end up with.
Mom and Dad just bought an ADT system tonight.
Sad thing is, our neighborhood never used to be bad--it was always really safe. Prisons have opened, bringing families of prisoners up here with their drugs....not all of them, not trying to generalize. And more duplexes and old homes are being bought up by investors in Baltimore(3 hrs away), and being turned into rental homes and apartments. Plus a lot of the teens are getting bad into drugs and will do anything for drug money or prescription meds.
Patunia, it's horrible they shot your dog. I understand you on the folks that start moving in. I mean you can't control who will end up as your neighbors unfortunately.
