cat

Do you water them ?
Some do that when they age. Most do it when they age. You just pick off the dead parts and keep it going. You must water weekly indoors and more often in the sun..
SOme houseplants do not like sun. SOme do not like shade.....And some like shade>

if you're using water straight from the tap, that may be why.

cold water isn't good for the plants and the chlorine isn't either. if you treat with a water softener, then that is really bad for the plants.

if have a softener system, you'll need to draw water for the plants at a point before the system. if you don't have a softener, just let the water sit overnight in gallon water jugs...the chlorine will have dissipated and it'll be at room temp - perfect conditions.

if your water has fluride added, you'll need to buy water that doesn't have any of that in it...it's bad for the plants.

you could also not be watering thoroughly enough. what types of plants do you have and what kind of soil are they in and what kind of pots (plastic, unglazed, glazed, with/without drainage)??

Catch rain water like I do ourside.. I have a huge plastic barrel from a soda company and cut the top off . It is under my rain spout and it catches all.
See I recycle water outdoors.

Indoors we have well water ....Yes I use tiped water for plants in our cold climate.....Cold shocks the day lites out of them. Thus stunting.

Show us a photo of a bad plant ....We can sometime diagnois it.

Could you be OVER watering? Remember to let the soil dry out quite a bit between waterings - You might just be drowning them.
