yeah, she's been so good to me and she's given me so many plants, I'm getting a mock orange, a banana tree, a silver leaf maple and some more in a couple weeks, just have to go dig them up

I got 2 pick up truck loads of plants from her last year and 4 car loads of stuff.

Is the banana tree same as the banana plant?

I would do it if I was you. I always tell folks, I run a hospital for sick plants, and they give me theirs.. Ha ha

Can't beat the price...........

I stopped there and ask her could I get a start off her banana tree and she said sure and told me she'd thin her plants and give me more too. So ever since then I see her about every other month and she loads my car up. the day I got the truck loaded she took me to meet her mom and I got plants out of her mom's yard

emde, I saw Brugs on sale at the Home Depot last week for $29.95. Aren't you in California? What, zone 9? Sounds like you can grow them. Anyway, I was surprised to see Brugs for sale at the Home Depot. They were a substantial size too. They better be for $29.95 huh?

Enrique, I'll send you some cutting if you can wait a while, maybe fall? mine are still very small even after being inside all winter, I don't have much light for them or space for bigger pots. I had a packet of brug seeds you can try but they're from last year or year before. I never got around to sowing them.

Diane, and other bruggies I was wondering, I have my brugs out now (it's 21*C around 70*F and the nights can dip down to 5*C, can I keep them outside all night or should I bring them in?

I can wait.I'm busy growing veggies.I'll have time for brugs after most of my crops are harvested and before sowing winter veggies.

Enrique, the seeds you've found are daturas, not brugmansias. To tell the difference, brug flowers hang down, and datura flowers bloom upwards. I sent you some white daturas with your package of seeds...are the ones you're looking at doubles? Daturas can reseed readily, especially D. stramonium can get invasive (aka jimson weed). Do be careful, both plants are dangerous...deadly but so cool!

I'm confused 99% of the time you would die laughing if you heard about all the mistakes I made when I first started in the garden I sent you seeds of both species: white datura, datura la fleur lilac, and brugmansia (white x white and pink) Did you get them yet, or is Canada post slower than ever?

No problemo! I haven't moved them out yet, but we've had 45F nights for the past week. My mom's always saying the time to move everything out is after Victoria Day long weekend (third week of May) si I guess they'll go out then, thanks!
