A Gardeners Forum Forums General Discussion New Members Hello from the Ocala National Forest

Being an avid gardener, I like to try new and different plants and trees. I recently planted three weeping bottlebrush trees and added good soil and fetilizer and watered them daily. To my horror, they are dying. A friend suggested we see if they have "air pockets" and we did find some, however, I now have some very pale, dry looking trees. Does anyone know of a great fertilizer that will bring the color back and promote healthy recoverey.

I don't know much about Bottlebrush trees, but be careful you don't over fertilize your trees. That can kill them also.

How long were they planted with 'air pockets'?

Hi fellow Canadian,
They were planted for one week with air pockets. I was going to fertilize them again but your advice has made me think twice. I may just leave them alone now and see if they can recover on their own. I am not used to loosing things I plant, this is frustrating!!

Best to see if they can make a comeback by themselves, they are already stressed.
