Help, I just discovered my queen palm is loose when I push it. It looks more raised at root than my other one but everything else looks ok. I don't know if I need to add soil to root base or what is going on. I is raised about 2 inches above ground level and it dips way in where roots go into soil?? Any help out there. I live in northern CA and it is about 4 years since planted. Thanks

You can re-pot it deeper if it is in a pot? I have a few in the ground and about 30 feet tall. One is raised and was trying to blow over in the wind. We anchored it to a wall because it seemed very healthy other than the raised thing. Digging it and replanting would be a major undertaking needing a crane.

Thanks for the help. I was thinking of trying to bring the level up around it with a slight mound if that might work. It is not in a pot and is around 18 feet tall? Thanks, Susan

I would also brace it with poles or something. It is very vulnerable even with soil heaped up around it.
