Five feeders up now. But no takers to my knowledge. We've been at the doctor's all day.

Yeah, but when we got to the hospital they were having a huge sale! My wife and I spent more than we should. We both bought rings. She got a Sterling Silver and Crystal Dolphin ring, I got a man's black enamel band with a silver tribal design on it. I also bought some 1 1/2 carat sterling silver and Amethyst cabochon ear studs for myself, done in an ancient, Bronze Age Mediterranean design. They had each item for only $6.00 each, with part of the proceeds going to benefit the Hospital. We got $60.00 worth of goodies for $18.00.

I have some blooming Aloe Vera that the hummers just love. I planted some Cypress Vine seed a few weeks back. It is up but no blooms yet. I hear they love this vine as well. Anyone know for sure?

Yea, me too....mine are on a wire arch which we can see from the living room window. I can't wait for it to fill it up and bloom.

I have bunches of red Cannas in my yard that the hummers swarm to in mid-Summer when they bloom.

My cypress vine arch is on the East side of the house. I think it will love the morning sun, but when late summer hits it may get more sun than it wants for an hour or two longer than it wants?
I noticed the hummers come to my Lousiana Iris' also.

Wish I could bag the cannas from the beetles.
They grow so well for me.
Enjoy thorn.

I have a favorite on the east side of the house , loaded with red salvias.. That is hummers delight early in the morning..

They do go to other colors..

Nice pics Sheri!

Nope, it wasn't Barb that had that cool porch picture with all the hummers....it was someone else....I remember that picture, because I thought holy cow that's a ton of hummingbirds.

I might put a feeder up today.

maybe someone will come along who remembers. That was the coolest picture. I'd like to see it again. Seems whomever it was lived close to the water or a big pond or lake. It's going to drive me nuts.

I think it was this post, friend of Wrennie's--but the pic is gone--she must've taken it out of her photobucket.

you may be right about that but I think it was BettyBoop who lives by the lake. Did she leave the forum?

It was last year. I think I counted 27 hummers in all around ONE feeder. I have the picture stored on my old computer......I think.

Still have the hummer feeders up but NO hHummers yet, However the Chimney Swifts and Barn Swallows arrived this weekend.

And Mourning Doves are building a nest just five feet from the end of my porch.
