My youngest brother has autism. I can't let hin near my garden, seedlings, or tools& supplies because he'll make a mess. I think I'll introduce him to gardening by letting him plant radishes. Then I'll move him on to bigger things.

Radishes are an excellent choice for a beginner/child gardener. They are quick to sprout and quick to grow and can be done early ! And they are so pretty too!

Beans and peas are good too.
