Here is a fair picture of a bird I have taken almost NO pictures of before. My son has had 4 or 5 of these hanging out in his yard all Summer and I finally got a few pictures of them this week. CHIPPING SPARROW
Kingdoms RAGE and go to war...but the PEasants plant potatoes.. EARTH FIRST! (we'll strip-mine the OTHER planets later.)

That is a familiar bird to me here, Thorny. I think they are here year round? It is a singing little bird, isn't it. You got a very nice shot of it.

Yes, they make a rapid chattering chipping noise, hence, the name Chipping Sparrow. and they DO tend to stay year-round in Southern California.
