Hi,

I am in need of some info on how to properly trim my snake plant. I have one that grew pretty tall. I made the dumb move of snipping off the top with scissors, I know shameful :C now the tops are all dead and brown and it has lost the nice points. I thought it would grow back, but it did not. What can I do? Is there anyway I can trim the dead off in a way that wont hurt the plant.

Thanks!

Welcome, figure8.
You may have to wait for new growth to show at the bottom of your plant then carefully trim away the whole old leaves. If you have any uncut leaves that are healthy then go ahead and cut back those damaged leaves now. Your plant may look odd for a while but we learned it isn't like grass today. Mother-in-laws tongue can take some abuse and come back though. So eventually you should have a full healthy plant again.
