No, I don't mulch them, but I never had. I have had them for about 25 years. Without fail they flowered every year but the last two. Over the years I have separated them and put some new plants in other locations, but none of them are flowering.

Go out and get cactus and succulent mix and repot. Allow the plant to dry out between waterings. Gardening dirt is NO GOOD. It's too heavy.

You can make plum jam or jelly. Here's the jam recipe:

Plum:Wash and pit. For every 5 cups of plums, add 3/4 cups of water and cook until soft. Add 3 cups of sugar and boil until done,stirring constantly. You can feel it starting to thicke
