just the other day I saw one of the white mushrooms that look like those in the first pictures. mine were split open, but not as uniform and flower like as yours.

I'll probably throw something on the pit and make a dessert. We will probably celebrate it saturday or sunday. if that hurricane comes in it may be raining on monday. any ideas on a labor day type dessert?

Maxi will be 13 on October 4th, and I want to get him an mp3 player because he will officially be a teen. However, I've lost the thread from a few months ago when we were discussing mp3's. It may have even been in an old CH.

Hmm. I just googled 'Exhibiting vegetables for fairs'...and it said that fruit and veggies must not be waxed or oiled. Do they have a rule list for you to follow, most fairs do.

Some areas got flooding. I'm on a slope so no chance of that in my yard. But everything got a very good watering.

Well we picked our first potatoes today - they were very good. I still don't know what happened to my plants. Some died and some didn't. They taste so good, I will grow them again next year for sure.
