We are having weird weather and breaking a few heat records for the time of year. But we will get back to our normal wet and cool soon enough. I'll enjoy it while I can.
Good morning. I put Teddy's valentines in the car last night so as not to forget them.

Good afternoon.

I made out GG's Valentine's yesterday and I have to bake cupcakes for her class tomorrow...I used to love school parties.

Today I cleaned and mopped. I need to re-bank the house with snow in a bit....after I shovel the roof. No matter what the season, outside work keeps me busy.

I sure miss making class Valentine's & treats for the girls. It was such fun.

It is supposed to snow again tonight...beginning at around 8. That is sad news as the roads are beginning to clear off today.

I need to get to some cleaning here myself.

I did a bunch this morning. Got Teddy to school and stopped to shop on the way home. I put that away and got Ted's lunches put together for the next week plus. Put dinner in the crock. In a few minutes I'm going to take off and have lunch with him. And then bring him home.

Yes, my baby is 21+. I normally wouldn't do parties either but Teddy is a special case. The lunch was delicious. I had to take a bit of a nap when I got home.

I'm glad you had a nice day Tina...it'll be so sad to have Teddy done with his school at the end of this year. Maybe Nana can volunteer you to help her with her grand's grin

I made two dozen cherry and two dozen chocolate cupcakes...half will go to school, the other half in DH's stomach lol

I hope your snow is scarce Junie.

Sunny: Yes that sounds wonderful. I am sure that both your GG and your DH are going to be very happy campers...

I am going to make my DH a cake for Sunday. I will have to make it late Saturday night, because any sooner & it might not live until Sunday. I so wish I knew how to make Divinity....I LOVE it to be sure...

Good night everyone...Sweet Dreams.

Good morning here. I have been out already & filled the feeders. Once I put out a new tray of sunflower seeds, the birds came out of the woodwork. I am really happy to see it.

Tomorrow I will be buying a collar for the feeder pole and also a squirrel-proof feeder tomorrow. One will be in a tree, one will be on the pole.

Hi all,

I don't have school today Yay! but do have boys.. they are coming to play here... Derek is coming to play catch in backyard.. ours is finally snow free... He just got his new glasses too... he'd been having headaches so Carrie took him... hope they help!

Woke up to the news this morning that another school shooting happened...that is the school my kids all went to... we lived about half a mile from it... just so sad..... makes me worry for all our kids.... Prayers for all involved, candles are lit too...

Well off to get ready for the boys invasion...

Nana

Good morning. I didn't come in to say good night last night. I think today is basically free. I will find something to do to make it worthwhile. Wash towels or bath mats or something. Bake something. Anything so the day counts. Or maybe file my taxes. It's nice to have a clean slate to write on.

WE are on our way to do some shopping. Well, DH is, I am just going along. Later today we will use one of the gift certificates that
our youngest DD sent us for Christmas.

It is cold here...11*F... but I bet that sounds warm to you Sunny. Keep warm & safe.

It's only as cold as you are used to having Junie...11*F is cold for your area.

Yes Tina, I won't be venturing anywhere today or tomorrow for that matter....it is supposed to go to -40*F tonight. Even with block heaters and being plugged in, chances are that our vehicles won't start anyway.

Well we ventures out as I said. Rod did some shopping & then he took me to a baby store...I got 1 sleeper..IF I had of known there was a sale going on---I would have got the set of 5 onesies as well..but I didn't know there was a 50% sale going on---no signs by the clothes I was looking at....

but hey, the sleeper is really cute with pink hearts on it. (Grandpa picked it out)

That is the way to do things. Just what is absolutely necessary for the first few days at home and then buy as you need.
I'm going to say good night now. Sweet dreams all.

Good morning. I'm up even though I don't feel ready.

You know, I don't believe this at all. I collected baby clothes from day one of my pregnancies. New and used. I washed them and had them ready to go. As I progressed, nesting became stronger and I cleaned and cooked and prepared as much as I could in advance. I most often worked myself into a backache that I suddenly realized was labor, and had been for awhile. winky
After the babies were born, I was glad I had because I didn't want to go anywhere or feel much like cooking. And the babies came along with plenty of laundry without having to wash new things as well. I just wanted to enjoy the babies.
And I have often thought about the mothers who needed bed rest at the end of their pregnancies and wondered what they did with all of those nesting feelings. And the overwhelming feeling that they aren't ready for this.
And all of my babies were naturally born. I felt sorry for those who had had difficult births and couldn't just spring out of bed to care for their babies needs.
I stockpiled everything I could think of before the births. Because you never know what you'll need or how much you can do.

Tina, we're you smoking weed when you made that original post? :) New parents never believe how many blankets, sheets, and onesies they'll need for a tiny baby. lol I have trouble stockpiling anything because I'd a tad claustrophobic.

Did Nana say there was a shooting at her kids school? When was it?

Johnny has been throwing up all day. He didn't go to church but since I teach Sunday School I had to go without him. Didn't much want to do that cuz it was 12° this morning. He's still in the bed moaning and groaning. I'm not going tonight.

No, Sheri. I haven't seen weed in many years. I did type that sober and in good faith. But I thought about it and remembered. And remembered more.
I hope Johnny gets well quickly and doesn't share.

Good morning.

We lost power yesterday, it was quickly restored but the cable and internet was not. Mind you, who wants to be working outdoors on lines when it is -40*F?

The school shooting turned out to be a murder suicide between two 15 year old girls apparently...well from what I read on the news.

I didn't have a lot for my baby when she was born...and because of that I had to wash diapers and clothes daily. I don't blame you for stock piling if you could Tina....it saves time for when baby is born.
