Oh My, Sunny--I am so very sorry to hear that. I do agree with Tina...BUT after that, I will say that getting older has done me no favors. I am assuming my metabolism has slowed down...

I worked on the computer room/babies room tonight for 3 hours. If you came over, aside from a dusted computer desk, you would not know the difference. cry

as soon as I wind down, I am going to go to sleep. I should be sleeping already. Tomorrow & Saturday the name of the game will be Chase Luke. Fun, but tiring.

nite nite

Good morning.

Yes Tina, I am taking a new medication...I was told it might affect my weight a little but 50 pounds over the past year is more than a little in my eyes. I have an appointment in November, it is time to discuss my options.

Have fun with the 'chase' days Junie.

We are covered in heavy frost and ice this morning, brrr..

I made a Walmart order last night, I ordered my grandson's Xmas gifts...I am thinking this online shopping might be the way to go from now on.

Good morning. I am so sorry for the frost, Sunny. It is to be 100* plus here. I would like it cooler but not frosty.
I order a lot online for my gifting. But my main gifts are cash for my kids these days. It is what everyone but Teddy prefers. And Ted is so hard to buy for.

Good Morning. WOW..that is a lot of weight, Sunny. sorry to hear that. I would not be happy either.

I buy a lot of gifts online as well. The only thing is that with the likes of jewelry, it may look nice in the photos but then is not so nice when it gets here. It is sure nice to just sit here late at night, in my jammies & shop though.

About Christmas Gifts. I did buy a lot of smaller things, so they had a lot of gifts to open. That may well be a thing of the past.. Aside from ordering a few things from Amazon, I think Emily's boys are done when it comes to Christmas.

I am considering just mailing out the little ones Christmas gifts to them as well. Their Mom can wrap them for me. That will save a bundle on shipping costs.

I would have thought that Luke would be here by now....But oh well. I guess it gives me more time to just sit & drink coffee.

Thanks, Tina.
The Vacationing thing all began because we were taking Beowulf home with us one time for Emily, & Luke asked why..so we said it was for a vacation. Well, he went to the closet where his extra car seat is kept, drug it out & said he wanted to go on vacation too. So now he "comes for vacation" when he comes to stay here.

Today we went to a local gift shop & Luke picked out his Christmas ornament. A train engine. I hope his other grandma did not get him one... why

I have a new name !!!
Today when we were just getting home from our trip, Luke accidently called me Gram. Then he laughed & said "hey, I called you Gram". I then told him he could call me whatever he wanted. After making up several nonsensical names, he calls me "Gram" now & grins....
I will hope his MOM lets me keep that name.

My Daughter's house sold quickly. They are closing in early November, As a result they need a house to move to ASAP. They have been looking online at houses & IF they like what they see when they actually look at it, they will have a house by Thursday night when they comes home. WE can only hope they do not close until after Thanksgiving.

WE keep him tonight, then his other grandparents tomorrow night. Then next week the 2 of us and his baby-sitter all share his care.

within the last 32 minutes (since my last post) the toes on my right foot have swollen. Now yesterday I jammed them into a weight scale in the basement. Now the foot was sore but nothing unusual. and I was fine all today until, as I said, within the last half hour. That is just bazaar, to my notion. Good news is I have a straight shoe that the DR gave me last time I broke some toes.

Sweet Dreams

Good afternoon.

Hoping the toes are o.k. Junie, what did Luke call you before?

So far I have made molasses cookies, a banana loaf and my bread is in the oven. It is freezing today...it sure warms up the house along with the woodstove.

Wish I could send some cooler weather your way Tina.

We left the house in long pants & were wishing we had on shorts by the time we got home.

My toes were to a place where I wore regular shoes today but now I have my foot in one of those shoes they give you when your toe is broken.(big, thick sole and a cloth top that Velcro's shut)

we shall see what tomorrow brings.

I am wore out from yesterday & today. But soon I need to do dishes & clean up the kitchen. tonight I rest.

Luke's Parent's are on the East Coast buying a house. They will be there until Thursday, and when they return they WILL have bought a house. They saw one online that seems to be a larger house like they want (MY 1500 sq. ft. house is apparently too too small for them (you know a family of 4). I sure hope it is still for sale when they get there...because, you see.....

Luke tells me he will have a house real close to a playground, and we can just walk across an area right by his house,(shows me a field as we were driving in the country when he was telling me) and we will be there ! AND I can come & visit him in D.C. & we can go there!
First you have to know that Nothing is better than a playground--He told me that he can go there, find children to play with & he can make friends with them!!!.....
Did I mention Luke has just last month turned 3 ??? He talks better and has more reasoning power than some adults I know.

OH the stories I could tell.....

I wanted to go to bed, but we have Beowulf again & I am sure by the time I take him out to go potty for the night, I will be wide awake... rolz

Good Morning! coffee

We are a 2 bathroom household.
Why oh why my DH feels the need to use his (with the light on) at 5 am every day is a wonder to me. I really would have preferred to be asleep for an hour or so yet this morning. BUT for some reason he thinks if he is up I should be up.
Happy Sunday to you all.

I find Mondays are far better for shopping. Less people.
Good luck making a decision.

We are back home & I am packing for my first night with Luke and also doing a load (or 2) of laundry.

I decided I was not shopping today. All I really need is bread and I can make do with what I have. Tomorrow is Columbus Day and Teddy is out of school. That is soon enough for shopping I need.

Good afternoon...it is a quiet day here.

We celebrated Thanksgiving and my b-day yesterday at my mom's. Leftovers for supper and GG goes back home tonight. I am looking forward to tomorrow to do some much needed chores with time to myself.

I hope Carol is alright. She's not been posting since early yesterday morning.
I have done a mishmash of things around here. The parts of Teddy's lunches I can do ahead. Cleaning a bathroom. Washing dishes. Working on my ditches for our expected rain this week. Cooking for the week ahead a little. Trying to get ahead in general.

Good evening.

Carol is fine...just busy with her grandson and errands. I got a pm from her today.

Busy as always aren't you Tina. I got my garden shed arranged today....GG's toys had taken over.

We had snow flurries the other night and they are calling for more this weekend. Guessing there is no hiding from Winter no matter how hard I try grin

No, we can't hide from unpleasant weather. I feel lucky to have an indoor space when it gets lousy out. And feel very lucky to not have to deal with snow very often.
I've got Teddy home and I am done for the day, other than dinner. I tried to nap but that didn't happen. I am going to sleep well this evening.

I dislike winter--unless it is a mild one. You know, with NO snow or ice. I am not looking forward to winter for sure.

Yes, I have been busy with running back & forth and staying with my Grandson.
I am home today (so I could go to Ceramics) and I will spend the night at home tonight & then go pick Luke up from school tomorrow & then spend the night with him one last time. Thursday the baby-sitter will come & pick him up for school & then pick him up after school & stay with him until his Mom & Dad come home in the evening.

Did they get lucky on the house they wanted, Carol? I am glad you have the evening off.

Well, I do not think they have the one they were looking at originally. (at the time of Luke & Micah's birthday party) Not real sure on that & since I just overheard Chris talking to his Aunt about it, I could not ask them if this was the same one.

BUT the one they bought looks to be nice. But it is not a done deal yet. (I do not think) I guess I will know when they get home. why

We will see them on Saturday.

I hope they have an easy transition. Have fun with your grandson tomorrow.

And now I'm going to bed. I'm early but Teddy is ready tonight. Sweet dreams all.
