Good Afternoon,

I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of making tea from the leaves of a pecan tree? My mother-in-law has been making me this tea for a couple of weeks. She said that it is good for high blood pressure. Has anyone heard of this? I have not been able to find anything on the internet?

Thank you,
Maggie

Welcome, mags.
I went internet searching too. I see the tea is available. I went on med sites and saw that the papery coating inside the shells themselves may have some helpful qualities towards mucus and infection relief.
If it isn't actually bad for you then I cannot see harm in trying it. There are so many worse things to put into your body. Do you know if it is helping yet? Please let us know.

Thank you Tina!

I don't know if it is actually working to keep my blood pressure down because I do take medication for that already. However, I do feel better after drinking it this past couple of weeks. I have noticed that I do not drink as much diet coke as I used to because I drink so much of the tea. That is a benefit by itself because I know that I drink too much diet coke.

Feeling better is a big thing. And I gave up diet sodas years ago. I really think they do more harm than good. I went back to sugar drinks and found it satisfied whatever cravings were happening, probably the sugar. And I drank less all around. I also feel better and lost weight.
I have been exploring real foods and whole foods more and more. Least processed stuff. I feel wonderful.

I have 15 pecan trees. Maybe I should try it.
