How to grow ginger indoors?

Does anyone have any experience of growing ginger indoors? Maybe this topic has been discussed before, but I honestly don't know where to start from. I have been reading a couple of online guide on how to grow ginger, but still confused. Can anyone point me in the right direction and provide me step by step instruction? BTW so far I have found the best instructions at http://www.ehow.com/how_4576842_grow-ginger-indoors.html
Any inputs based on personal experience will be greatly appreciated.
