I have a vegetable that I got from someone. It's light green and the shape of a tomato. It's very firm and has a thick stem coming out the top and three little ones coming out the bottom. can anyone tell me what this is?

if we could see a photo that would sure help us a lot.

Yeah...sorry but my camera's out of batteries. However, after doing much searching, it seems like it very well might be Kohlrabi. That's what it looks and feels like anyway. Thanks.
