He is way too big for this little house finch feeder,, But smart enough to get on one side to enable the seeds to spill out from the little feeder slot , then eat from the ground notme

For Blue Jays use a platform feeder of some kind with peanuts, IN THE SHELL, and Black Oil Sunflower seeds. Blue Jays are nut and LARGE seed eaters. They prefer to get heir food on large flat surfaces. Here is a picture of one I took on my platform feeder on my front porch.
