but it's not. I had a few in the yard last year and I left them thinking they were marigolds. They never bloomed that I remember. Now I have a few more that are already at least 2 feet tall. What are these things?

I'll get a picture. I've noticed I've got several popping up in different areas, shade and sun, and they get tall really fast.

I get several weeds similar. If it grows that fast and well it is probably a weed. But I do not have a name for that one or for mine. Mine look more like tomato plants without the fringe benefits.
