So I have six cute and happy snow pod pea plants ready to start climbing and I just bought a pack of Burpee's nylon trellis material. I understand it's a good idea to have supports to hold the trellis up. How exactly does this work? What can I use? My original idea was to drape this over my fence, but in retrospect maybe not a good idea or in the long run look nice or stable.

Thanks,
Earth

I staple it to lengths of wooden posts: I take a 2 by 4 and rip it down the middle then put those in the ground and run the net like a 'badminton net' set up, with the base of the net closer to the ground.

Ah... this might sound like a weird question, but will the wood of the two by fours rot? And I assume your using heavy duty staples? but will they rust ?

Ohkay a little more weird sounded than normal.

Oh and are they any other alternatives to stapling them? I have wood left over from construction but I only have an office stapler.

Well, I coat all outside wood with outdoor wood stain(sometimes you can buy a gallon that had been mis-matched for $5 at your hardware store in the clearance bin thumbup )...sounds strange but it works.

I use a heavy duty staple gun.

You could nail it on, use tie straps, string...anything really.
