Mine are here. I don't know. Because I know Bill had issues similar to yours recently.

Go to your preferences and make sure that "Show Relative Times? 5 minutes ago, Yesterday @ 2:00, etc." is set to 'no' Let me know if that helps. You may have to delete your forum cookies (bottom of page) Let me know if that helps...

My new machine is windows 7. Norton will not update on it? I didnt realize that till the other computer died an I bought this one. I had a Broken Heat Sink......
Also is there a cable I can get to download the files from the old computer even if it isnt working/

Dialup? :snicker:...
Ummm, you can't really port updates from the old computer to the new one, it's not really how updates work, programs get items tied up in the registry and if you go mucking about you can really mess things up...
So long as the computer is connected to the internet you should be able to update any program however...
Personally, the only thing I use on my computer for "security" is Avast Personal Edition (which is a virus scanner, and the personal edition is free).

Well, heatsinks are made to disperse heat accross a chip (or several chips) on the motherboard, versus just letting heat pile up in one area which could allow the chip to melt or malfunction. Usually if it melts you'll smell burnt silicon for a while lol...
No real fix if it burns out other than to replace whatever chips burnt out (which the only real one you can replace is the CPU since they're made to allow you to upgrade).
The hard drive you probably could just add to your computer, but you'd have to get your hands dirty and I'm not sure you'd be too comfortable with doing it yourself...

dodge I have a Dell but it is not a fancy one for sure Barb, use "Windows mail" it likley came with your computer(??)--. AND it is a whole lot like OE, well at least it took nothing for me to learn how to use. One of the girls set it up for me. James: did it come loaded with my computer or did the girls download it free??? The good point of using it?? i kept the e-mail address I had had on Outlook express--which is the one my server gave to me years ago when I first got on the internet..

Mozilla Thunderbird is a great free/open source alternative to Windows Mail, Outlook, or Outlook Express... In fact, I prefer it to all three and then some... Clicky
