I was digging up my
potatoes and the red skinned
potatoes where fine. I started digging up the brown skinned (Burbank's or something like that) and there were gnawing marks on many of them. It didn't look like it was from an insect, it looked like it was from a rodent. I was bewildered as I have grown
potatoes for many years and had never seen that before. Also, why just the brown skinned and not the reds? Also, although this is not a pest problem, most of my brown skinned
potatoes were fused together-sometimes as many as six or eight
potatoes-made for lots of interesting shapes
