I've never grown Watermelon or Cantaloupe (on purpose) before. Is it too early to plant the seeds? I was going to start them in tray packs so if we get some cool nights I could bring them in. The watermelon is Sugar Baby and the Cant is Golden Delicious.

My cantaloupe& watermelon seedlings aren't doing too well despite the good weather. They are suffering from root rot.I will plant again in May.

I planted my cantaloupe and watermelon seeds last weekend. I figured they might be poking up by now, but they're not.

You were right. It took about 10 days for them little boogers to come up. Now I gotta figure out where to put them. My garden is already full of peppers and 'maters. I thought about tilling in front of my garden and putting them in there. It looks like I'm going to have SO many, though.

I've never grown watermelon or cantaloupe. I just bought 4 plants of each. Haven't put them in the ground yet will probably do so this weekend. Any tips on growing them etc.
