I've had some success at getting my poinsettias from last Christmas transplanted outdoors. Now, someone's told me that poinsettias should never be planted too close to the house because they "attract termites". Has anyone else ever heard of this?

Thanks for the input. I don't need white fly either. We have constant problems with termites in the climate we live in, so didn't want to make it worse. I will definitely keep a watch out for the white fly, as I've had citrus trees destroyed by that pest as well.

Do they spry for termites in your area? I know some do.
What state do you live in ?/

I only had that problem when I put them outside and brought them in for winter..
